Last week I was in Chicago for the MDM & Data Governance conference. I was able to attend last fall in New York and felt it helped me expand my understanding of several MDM related topics. Most importantly, I was able to get a clear picture of the future of MDM with Big Data, GDPR, and the cloud.
This event is a little different than the ones I’ve been to before in that its focused only on MDM and DG. The advantage is multiple sessions can go into detail on topics that are often overlooked by other conferences. There was a wide range of topics covered, and it was difficult to choose between sessions.
This time I again enjoyed hearing and learning about the case studies. It’s always helpful to review what others have done and the issues they’ve faced. The conference overall was excellent, and the focus seemed to be on companies facing challenges with multi-domain MDM and data lakes. I’ll try to attend again in the fall.
